Where is Christ Church located?
We are located at 1132 Highland Avenue, at the corner of Highland and Rosemary Street, in Needham, MA. We are directly across the street from the public library. Click here for directions.
What time are the services?
Sunday services: From September through May we hold two services each Sunday morning. The 8:15 a.m. Holy Communion (Rite 1) service is held in our chapel and typically finishes at about 9 a.m. The 10:00 Holy Communion (Rite 2) service is held in the main sanctuary and includes music. It usually finishes by about 11:15 a.m. During the summer months we hold one service each Sunday at 9 a.m. in the chapel.
Weekday services: We hold Morning Prayer on Tuesday mornings at 8 a.m. We have a service of Holy Communion (Rite 2) on Wednesdays at noon. Both services are held in the chapel.
Holiday services: We have a special service schedule for Easter and Christmas. Please consult our website or contact the church office for more information.
Where should I park?
The church parking lot is adjacent to the public library, across Highland Avenue from the main church entrance. You may also park in the Memorial Park parking lot, which is across Rosemary Street from the church.
Is there coffee hour?
We have a coffee hour after the 10:00 a.m. service most Sundays. We gather in the main parish hall (ask anyone to direct you) and visitors are always welcome.
Are there children’s programs?
We have Sunday School for children in pre-school through 7th grade, and confirmation class for those in 8th & 9th grades. Your children are always welcome to join a class. The confirmation class meets from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. most Sundays. Younger grades meet at 9:45 for about an hour, and then join their families in the 10 a.m. service in time for communion.
