Christ Church Needham Romans 8:28

At Christ Church we do not believe in bowling alone. We value our friendships and treasure being in community with one another. There are plenty of people who will befriend you and there are many ministries here to involve you. Whether seeker or sojourner, nomad or pilgrim, you will find Christ Church to be a place where faith is action, prayer is power and service is freedom.

And though it is true we have much to offer – a wide array of ministries to join, a beautiful edifice to inhabit, and a caring community to share – we believe we are on a continuing Christian journey of discovery. It is one of increasing self-awareness. It is one that brings us challenges of involvement. And it is one that invites us to know more deeply how the Holy Spirit is calling us to be faithful in times of duress and discernment, as well as, perplexity and promise. As a community of engagement, we trust that God will take us places we have never gone before whether it is to Haiti, Boston, or our neighbor’s backyard.

We enjoy being together in community; and while at times we try not to take ourselves too seriously, we are deeply serious about being the Church – the people of God – in an ever changing and dynamic world. We believe Church is “the real deal” involving life altering decisions and circumstances where being in community plays a significant role in personal transformation.

It is a wonderful and challenging privilege for me to serve as rector of Christ Church and to be part of a shared ministry of people who seek to place God at the center of their lives. I encourage you to check out the many areas of ministry, mission and fellowship on our website. Come and see us on a Sunday where you may discover your gifts for ministry and be refreshed in community and renewed by spiritual fellowship.

On behalf of the men, women, children and youth of Christ Church, I welcome you and truly hope you will join us at Christ Church for a day or for a lifetime. Thank you for your interest and may you, by God's grace, continue to be nurtured and restored in Christ's love.

Faithfully yours,
Rev. Robert "Skip" Windsor
