Christ Episcopal Church, Needham, MA: Confirmation

Youth are eligible for Confirmation stating in the 8th grade. At the conclusion of this one-year class, participants have the opportunity to be confirmed by our Bishop. During the class students will explore many aspects of what it means to make an adult commitment to one’s faith and to the church. Material covered throughout the year includes prayer, church history, scripture, worship, the Episcopal Church, Christian responsibility and our culture as it relates to Christianity. We know that this is a time of questioning for our students and we strive to support, challenge and empower them in their faith journey. Confirmation class begins at 9:00am. Students join their family or friends for the entire 10:00am liturgy. Participants will be expected to attend class regularly, participate in an overnight service project in Boston and an overnight retreat at the Barbara C. Harris Camp and Conference Center.
