- Collation Committee
-
- “Collations” here at Christ Church are gatherings of people for hospitality and comfort along with gathering of food for a small meal. Our committee prepares and serves food to families and their friends at their time of bereavement. If you would like to learn more about how you can participate in our “gatherings” please call Carol Bean, Rita Fowler
or Sue Kennedy.

- Community Concerns Committee
-
- A committee reporting to the Vestry. Decides how to allocate funds from their
budget to assist the efforts of various agencies sponsoring shelters for the
homeless, food pantries and holiday meals, and emergency funding for fuel and
utilities. Christ Church through this committee supports programs for youth
services, battered women, Diocesan camperships, elder services and more.
The annual Giving Tree project provides gifts of clothing and toys to adults
and children at Christmas. The committee also assists the activities of other
Christ Church groups such as paying the fee for the DJ at the quarterly
birthday party held at Christ Church for adults served by the Charles River

- Education and Learning Committee

- The Education and Learning committee meets to design activities for the parish—and sometimes for the larger community—which deal with issues connected with our private spiritual journeys, and also with peace and justice issues in the larger world. Recently we sponsored a workshop on Global Security led by a Grassroots International staff member. Contact Chair Sue Fleming.

- Finance Committee

- A committee reporting to the Vestry. The Rector, Senior Warden, and
Junior Warden manage this committee. The committee has about nine members
that meet on the second Tuesday of every month, 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. at the church, to
review all money matters before the Vestry. The group is responsible for approving
expenditures made on behalf of the church. Volunteers are welcome. Contact Senior

- Insurance Committee

- A committee reporting to the Vestry. This committee of about four
people meets once or twice a year to discuss, update, and renew insurance coverages
for the church. The committee is open to volunteers. Contact Chair Tim Lysaght.

- Investments Committee

- A committee reporting to the Vestry. Manages mutual fund holdings
and meets about three times a year. Contact Chair Nardin Baker.

- Planned Giving Committee
-
- A committee reporting to the Vestry. The group of about eight people
meets as needed during the year. They are responsible for educating
members of the parish about the importance of wills, estate planning, etc., and for
promoting remembrance of the church in such plans. The group is open to volunteers. More...

- Property Committee

- A committee reporting to the Vestry, it maintains the buildings and
grounds owned by the church, implements improvements, and oversees contract and volunteer
workers. The group has no formal meetings, but does submit a yearly budget for the work
to be done. There are approximately four active members at this time and new members
are encouraged. If you can change a light bulb, you can help! Anyone with skill could be
very helpful including electricians, carpenters, painters, and plumbers. Large jobs are
contracted out, members perform only small repairs. Contact Chair Julia Baker.

- Stewardship Committee

- This committee reports to
the Vestry. It is responsible for developing the annual program to raise the funds
necessary to meet the financial needs of the church and provide the leadership to
carry out the program. There are thirteen members at this time. Contact Chair Craig Conrad.

- Vestry Committee
-
- The Vestry is the elected body within a congregation that, with the clergy,
leads the parish. The Vestry: helps to discern the vision toward which God is drawing
that particular community; articulates and communicates the vision; holds the community
accountable for its realization of that vision by keeping the mission of the church and
the individual congregation clearly before the parish community. The Vestry has fiduciary responsibility for the resources of the parish, including property, assets, and annual funds. There are twelve
elected members on the Vestry serving three-year terms, plus 4 elected members serving as officers, for a total of 16 members. Four new members are elected each year. For additional information Contact Clerk Sally Baker.

- Yankee Harvest Fair Committee

- A committee reporting to the Vestry. Volunteers join a four
person Junior Fair Board during their first term and become a member of the
Senior Fair Board during their second term. Every person on this eight-member
committee is responsible for certain tasks. The fair is held every fall and
