Lift every voice and sing...
Make a Joyful Noise Unto the Lord!
Our Adult Choir forms the backbone of our musical experience at Christ Church. We sing for our 10:00 worship service, with a varied repertoire that includes music from almost every musical period from the Renaissance through contemporary.
Rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00. We welcome new members. We are not an auditioned choir as the vocal skills and training needed to become a good singer can be learned in the course of rehearsals.
Highlights for the Fall will include a special musical offering on All Souls Day, which we celebrate on November 11, and portions of the Christmas section of Handel’s Messiah sung during worship on December 23.
Current Repertoire
Below is a partial list the motets and anthems we are currently rehearsing. For works that are in the Choral Public Domain Library (CPDL), there is a link to its CPDL page. On this page, you will often find scores and midi files that some people find helpful while learning their parts. Note that these versions may not correspond exactly with the versions we are doing.
