The Organ is in truth the grandest, the most daring,
the most magnificent of all instruments invented by human genius. It is a whole orchestra in itself.
- The Christ Church Organ
-
- The organ that Dr. John Whiteside, organist and Director of Music Ministry, brings to resounding life each Sunday is a unique instrument with a remarkable history.
-
- It started its career as a theater organ, built for the Yankee Radio Network by the Aeolian-Skinner Organ Company of Boston.
-
- Today at Christ Church, it is a fully integrated blend of original pipe organ craftsmanship and contemporary digital technology. With 130 total stops and 161 total ranks, including 51 pipe ranks, 3,021 pipes and 5 polyphonic percussions, it puts a wide range of musical resources at the organist's command.
-
- Thoughout the seasons of the Anglican church year and events in the lives of our parish family, the Christ Church organ plays an active, expressive role in our worship as a community.
